  • Arrive Paro

    On arrival in Paro our guide will receive you and check you into your hotel. After lunch we will visit the National Museum and the Paro Dzong. End of the day with a walk around Paro town.Overnight in Paro, altitude: 2200m

  • Paro - Jela Dzong, (Distance 10 Kms and walking time 4-5 hours)(Trek Begins)

    Early breakfast and then we will start our trek. The start of the Drukpath Trek is at the historic Ta Dzong, the National Museum. We follow a dirt road until it gives way to our trail in the pine forests. The trail is uphill all the way till Jela Dzong, a temple built as a war fortress in the olden days, overlooking the Paro valley below. Overnight camp in Jela Dzong

  • Jela Dzong – Jangchublakha (Distance 10 Kms and walking time 3-4 hrs)

    Early breakfast and begin with a one and a half hour climb and then ascend more gradually upwards. The trail takes you through thick alpine forests and rhododendrons. You will have fine views of Chomolhari and other snow capped peaks if the weather is right, and you may hear some monal pheasants calling during the day. You may see yak herders around your campsite.

  • Jangchublakha –Jimilangtsho (Distance 11 Kms and walking time 4-5 hrs)

    The trail will take us through dwarf rhododendrons and junipers. We will also pass the lakes of Janatso and Simkota. You will be able to see the far ridge across the valley which you trekked and give u a sense of accomplishment. The temperature at this campsite will be the colder than the rest.

  • Jimilangtsho– Simikot (Distance 11 Kms and walking time 4-5 hrs)

    Starting at Jimilangtsho (3880m) and camp at Simikot (4040m). The trail takes you through dwarf Rhododendrons trees and then you pass by the lake of Janye Tsho. Camp is close to Simkot lake

  • Simikot – Phajoding (Distance 10 Kms and walking time 3-4 hrs)

    Starting at Simkot (4040m) and camp at Phajoding (3870m). You begin with a gradual climb up to Phume la (4210m) the highest elevation for this trek. If the weather permits you will have beautiful views of Mt. Gangkhar Punsum (7541m) the highest mountain in Bhutan and other Himalayan peaks. Below, you can see the entire Thimphu valley

  • Phajoding–Thimphu – Paro{End of Trek}(Distance 4-5 Kms and walking time 3 hrs)

    Starting at Phajoding (3870m) and end of trek at Thimphu (2300m) the trek to Thimphu is all the way down hill through a forested area of mostly Blue pine. By taking leisurely pace you can reach Thimphu in about 3 hours for a nice hot shower and lunch. Afternoon drive to Paro, en route visiting Simtokha Dzong Today's sightseeing in Paro includes visits to Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong, Drukgyel Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang.Evening at leisure Overnight at Hotel

  • Paro Departure

    Early breakfast and then drive to Air port for the departure
